On 10 – 13 January 2016 Check Point hosted the 2016 European Sales Kickoff Meeting in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
The event was well attended by more than 1500 participants mainly partners from all over Europe (sales, pre-sales).
ASP (former ABSI) joined a large Belgian delegation consisting of distributors, System Integrators and the Check Point’s Belgian team. We spent the first day networking and attending several pre-conference workshops.
The event itself was a big success. It was larger than ever and focused on the strong growth of the IT security market and the vast potential in 2016 for Check Point and its partners. Security threats are growing in size, frequency and complexity and ever more companies will need the full-scale of protection of their data.
As one of Check Point’s first historical partners in Belgium (we signed our partnership with Check Point back in 1995), ASP is keenly aware of these trends and will be focusing strongly on security. We follow Check Point’s 2016 motto: One Step Ahead. The only way to ensure your data security is to be constantly one step ahead of the digital threat environment.
As a matter of fact, Check Point’s 2016 motto is fully aligned with one of ASP’s 6 Companions: “Vision”, that allows us to be ahead of the curve in the solution we are proposing.

The event culminated in a huge evening event at the famous Carpe Diem restaurant where Check Point employees and partners enjoyed the finer parts of Barcelona life: tapas, cocktails and the beach. Even in the heart of winter, it was a breezy 17 degrees.
