The job

We are looking for motivated web developers (front end or back end) to join our team and work on the ServiceNow Platform.</p> <p>As a ServiceNow Developer you will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using best practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions to the client utilizing the ServiceNow platform.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • After the initial ServiceNow platform admin training and certification (4 weeks) you will be in charge of building and customizing enterprise application.
  • You will work directly with our customers (process owner, key business users, analyst).
  • You will need to have full understanding of the business flow and the requirements before starting the development/implementation.
  • We expect you to challenge what is asked and take ownership.
  • Your development work will cover both front end (UI, Mobile, navigation, components) and back-end logic including API calls/integration with third party applications.
  • We expect you to build high quality and reusable software components.
  • As our ServiceNow team grows, you will have more responsibility like becoming subject matter expert, managing customer project or guiding newly hired developers.
  • Make ServiceNow part of your DNA and act as a true ServiceNow Ambassador.

How do you qualify for this position?

  • Bachelor degree in IT or an equivalent experience
  • Good communication skills in English and Dutch or French (or both)
  • You are a developer and you have a passion for IT and new technologies
  • You understand the development cycle, amongst other design, programming, testing and implementing, documentation
  • You have an eye for performance, scalability
  • You have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • You have an eye for details
  • You can work both independently and in a team
  • You actively listen to the client’s needs & feedback and take into account your customer’s remarks regarding the code or the functionality you developed.
  • You are ready to work hard to deliver a solution.

Technical knowledge

  • Object oriented programming in Java or .Net-C#
  • Knowledge of ERD or UML and the MVC basic principles
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with programming of web applications
  • Hands on knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, Node.js or React is a must
  • Service oriented architecture (WCF, Web Services),
  • SOA Technology: SOAP / XML / WSDL / REST
  • Agile programming
