The job

After an in-house introduction of our operation, tools, and processes, you will be guided in taking on typical first-line support tasks within real operational end-user Service Desk.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a Junior Service Desk Engineer, you will:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email and walk-in
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions  
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers  
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process  
  • Transfer unresolved issues to your 2nd line support colleagues 
  • Ownership for the client relationship: you are recognized by the client as a business partner, from whom to seek advise 

How do you qualify for this position?

Must-have

  • Completed an IT degree or already had IT Support experience or developed a strong interest in IT Support 
  • Good communication skills in French and/or Dutch combined with English 
  • Customer oriented and a team player who likes to share knowledge with others 
    • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products 
    • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and support software 
    • Constant craving for new technologies and trends!  
    • You are a dynamic, highly motivated, and stress-resistant IT professional

Nice-to-have

  • Practical experience with ticketing (incident/service request), Windows/Linux environments, Active directory (OU, reset password,…), DNS, DHCP,… 
  • Already accumulated knowledge of the ITIL framework 
  • Open to becoming the best babyfoot player to beat your colleagues
