Over de functie

We zijn op zoek naar een gemotiveerde Junior Security Operations Analyst voor een klant in Gent. Je helpt bij het monitoren, analyseren en opvolgen van beveiligingsincidenten en draagt bij aan vulnerability management, cloud security en automatisering. Dit is een uitstekende kans voor iemand die verder ervaring wil opdoen in een SOC-omgeving.

Wat je gaat doen

  • Monitoren en analyseren van security events in SIEM (Elastic, Kibana).
  • Onderzoeken en opvolgen van incidenten, inclusief indamming en impactanalyse.
  • Ondersteunen bij vulnerability management en cloud security posture monitoring.
  • Assisteren bij geautomatiseerde response en detection engineering.
  • Bijdragen aan offensieve securitytests (red/purple teaming, breach simulations).
  • Samenwerken met IT-teams en eindgebruikers om beveiligingsproblemen efficiënt op te lossen.

Wat we zoeken

Hard skills

  • Ervaring in een SOC of enterprise IT-omgeving is een pluspunt.
  • Kennis van netwerken (TCP/IP, protocollen, firewalls, routers, switches).
  • Kennis van Windows & Linux.
  • Bekend met MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Basisvaardigheden in scripting (bv. PowerShell, Bash, Regex, JSON).
  • Ervaring met tools zoals Elastic, SentinelOne, Rapid7, AttackIQ, ANY.RUN, Ansible is een plus.

Soft skills

  • Sterk analytisch denkvermogen en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
  • Nauwkeurigheid en een gestructureerde aanpak.
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden: moedertaal Nederlands en professioneel niveau Engels, met het vermogen om technische bevindingen helder uit te leggen aan zowel technische als niet-technische doelgroepen.
  • Teamspeler met aanpassingsvermogen en een leergierige houding.
