Over de functie

Service Integrators (ASP-eigen bedrijf) in Leuven zoekt een Linux System Engineer. Je ondersteunt klanten bij het beheren van hun IT-infrastructuur, van servicedesk en monitoring tot automatisering en upgrades. Je werkt met tools als CheckMK, Elastic, Grafana, Rundeck, Docker en Podman, en krijgt de kans om je kennis van Linux, netwerken en automation verder uit te bouwen.

Wat je gaat doen

  • Behandelen en opvolgen van servicedesk-tickets (van basic tot complex).
  • Aanpassen van configuraties in monitoring (via GUI en CLI).
  • Troubleshooten van problemen in infrastructuur en monitoring.
  • Klanten informeren en ondersteunen rond monitoring-oplossingen.
  • Rapporteren van bugs en uitvoeren van software-installaties / acceptance testing.
  • Meewerken aan automation met Ansible, Python en Rundeck.
  • Uitvoeren van upgrades en migraties van servers.
  • Leren werken met verschillende tools zoals CheckMK, Elastic, Grafana, Rundeck, Git, Docker en Podman.
  • Schrijven of aanpassen van custom scripts (Python / Ansible).
  • Geven van trainingen aan klanten over CheckMK.

Wat we zoeken

Hard skills

  • Basiskennis van Linux.
  • Basiskennis van netwerken.
  • Ervaring of affiniteit met monitoringtools (CheckMK is een plus).
  • Kennis van Ubuntu / RedHat is een plus.

Soft skills

  • Interesse en motivatie om bij te leren.
  • Sterk analytisch denkvermogen en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
  • Nauwkeurigheid en een gestructureerde aanpak.
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden: moedertaal Nederlands en professioneel niveau Engels, met het vermogen om technische bevindingen helder uit te leggen aan zowel technische als niet-technische doelgroepen.
  • Teamspeler met aanpassingsvermogen en een leergierige houding.
