ACCOUNT MANAGER/ BUSINESS DEVELOPER

The job

We are looking for a motivated account manager to join our team and promote our solutions.

As an account manager you are ASP ambassador and our public face. You are the first point of contact for new business while taking care of the relations with our existing customers.

Tasks and responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you are capable of listening to the customer, truly understand his needs and the (IT) challenges he is facing. You can translate his needs in the solution that we are proposing. You can explain the functionalities of the offered solution, and how it answers the customer/prospect requirements. You will highlight ASP’s strengths and our key differentiators. Subject Matter Expert from ASP, (technical experts or consultants) and our vendors, will support you and assist in explaining the more complex features of our solutions. You will report directly to one of our directors, will work closely with our marketing department and our technical team. You are responsible for selling projects and services.

Main tasks:  

Existing customers

  • Relationship management with existing customers.
  • Maintenance and strengthening of existing relationships.
  • Good knowledge of our customers’ projects and IT roadmap.
  • Upselling and cross selling.

New customers

  • Active prospection
  • Good understanding of the prospect’s needs, linking them with our solutions.
  • Presentation of our solutions together with our partners and/or your direct colleagues.
  • Write proposals and answer all clarifications questions

Maintenance and reinforcement of relations with our partners’ sales teams

  • We team up a lot with our key partners (such as Dell, VMware, Checkpoint, ServiceNow, …).
  • Your task is to understand our added value and to put it forward with new potential customers as well as with our main partners.

How do you qualify for this position?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in IT or an equivalent experience.
  • Good communication skills in Dutch or French and English (trilingual is a plus).
  • You have a passion for IT and new technologies.
  • You are customer oriented, motivated, and hunting does not scare you.
  • A first experience in sales in the IT sector is essential.
  • You understand the sales process and its different stages.
  • You have good analytical and problems solving skills.
  • You have an eye for details.
  • You can work both independently and, in a team.
  • You are structured and your work is well organized.
  • You stress resistant and you are not afraid of deadlines.
  • You like working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
  • You are professional and have a positive attitude.
  • You are curious by nature and want to improve your technological knowledge.
