Advanced Service Provider (ASP) is a growing and dynamic IT company with about 50 employees. We provide IT managed services to our clients with a select range of solutions. We provide IT infrastructure, server, storage, networking, and cloud solutions. Our clients include Sodexo, Brussels Airlines, Interparking, Trafic…  In addition, we have been an official implementation and consulting partner of ServiceNow in Belgium for over 5 years. 

Tasks and responsibilities

A role as Field Service Engineer is essential for successful installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of technical equipment or systems at customer site(s). This role demands technical proficiency, adept problem-solving, and effective customer communication to deliver exceptional service and support.

  • Be customer-centric and solution driven, addressing their questions, concerns, and technical field inquiries.
  • Travel or be located to customer site to install and set up technical equipment or systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Replace defective components and repair systems to minimize downtime
  • Keep accurate records of all service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions
  • Ownership for the client relationship: you are recognized by the client as a business partner, from whom to seek advice in field services.

How do you qualify for this position?

Must-have:

  • Passionate about IT and not afraid to roll up the sleeves
  • Good communication skills in English + Dutch and/or
  • Customer oriented and a team player who likes to share knowledge with others
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products
  • Constant craving for new technologies and trends!
  • You are a dynamic, highly motivated, and stress-resistant problem-solver

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and support software
  • Practical experience with ticketing (incident/service request), Windows/Linux environments, Active directory (OU, reset password,…), DNS, DHCP,…
  • Already accumulated knowledge of the ITIL framework
  • Open to becoming the best babyfoot player to beat your colleagues
